Graduate Marine Engineering course is one year residential course where in the cadets undergo theoretical classes with the demonstration in well-equipped laboratories and 9 months sea service. Shipping companies will require an additional 42500 officers by the end of 2020 and to cope up with the expected growth in the Main Cargo Carrying.
Minimum Academic Qualification : The cadet should have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automation Engineering with a min marks of 50% in English Language in 10th 12th and Degree.
Age limit : 18 to 28 years.
Medical Fitness : The cadets are required to produce certificate for medical fitness by a Doctor approved by The Directorate General of Shipping.
Eyesight : The cadet's vision should be 6/6 with or without external aid ± 2.5.
